This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for purchases of Openshield VPN subscriptions. We aim to be fair and transparent so you can try our service with confidence.
General Eligibility
- Refunds are available only for purchases made directly from Openshield.
- Only the original purchaser can request a refund.
- We may refuse a refund if we detect abuse, fraud, or a prior refund for the same user.
Money‑Back Window
If you are not fully satisfied with Openshield VPN, you can request a refund within 30 days of your initial purchase. For renewals, the 30‑day window applies from the renewal charge date.
What Is Refundable
- New subscriptions to Openshield VPN (monthly or longer terms) within 30 days.
- Renewals within 30 days of the renewal date.
- Upgrades or plan changes: where appropriate, we will calculate a fair, pro‑rata adjustment.
What Is Not Refundable
- Payments made through third‑party resellers or app stores. Please contact the seller.
- Accounts found to violate our Terms of Use (e.g., abuse or illegal activity).
- Fees that cannot be reversed by your payment provider (e.g., certain bank fees).
Cancellations
You can cancel auto‑renewal at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Canceling auto‑renewal does not automatically issue a refund — please submit a refund request if you are within the money‑back window.
How To Request a Refund
- Sign in to your Openshield account.
- Visit Billing and select the subscription you wish to refund.
- Choose Request Refund and provide a brief reason so we can improve.
Or contact our support team at support@openshield.com with your order reference and the email used at purchase.
Chargebacks
If you file a chargeback, we may suspend your account during the investigation. To resolve issues faster, please contact us first — we’re happy to help.
Multiple Accounts
To prevent abuse, refunds are generally limited to one per customer. If we detect duplicate or linked accounts attempting repeated refunds, we may decline the request.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the effective date.
